Nevralgan ®
Neuralgan® is a comprehensive formula designed to support the peripheral nervous system (PNS). It provides both building blocks and substances that facilitate and sustain energy processes in nerve cells.
Ingredients
Micronised palmitoylethanolamide (PEA)
PEA is a signalling molecule involved in communication between nerve cells and the transmission of nerve impulses.
The micronised form ensures significantly better absorption thanks to the small particle size.
R-alpha-lipoic acid
Alpha-lipoic acid plays a role in the production of energy for nerve cells.
It also supports the regeneration of the body’s antioxidant systems. It is also distinctive in that it is active in both aqueous and lipid environments. Thanks to this, it can reach various parts of the cell – both its interior and the cell membranes composed of lipids.
Nevralgan® contains the active form of alpha-lipoic acid – R-ALA – which is involved in far more physiological processes relating to the function of the PNS than its other variant, S-ALA.
Uridine-5-monophosphate
Uridine-5-monophosphate is a building block that forms part of phospholipids and plays a role in the formation of cell membranes.
B vitamins
B vitamins play a key role in energy production and the development of nerve cells.
Vitamin B₁ (thiamine) is the vitamin most commonly associated with the nerves. It helps the body convert food into energy and supports the normal functioning of the nervous system. Neuralgan® provides 100 mg of vitamin B₁ in a single tablet – a high dose designed to provide more intensive support for the nervous system.
Vitamin B₆ is involved in numerous processes within the body. It aids the formation of GABA (gamma-aminobutyric acid) and serotonin – substances through which nerve cells communicate and regulate the transmission of various signals.
Vitamin B₁₂ in Neuralgan® is in the form of methylcobalamin – the ready-to-use, active form of the vitamin that the body utilises directly, without needing to process it first. B₁₂ plays a role in the process of cell division, and the high dose of 500 µg per tablet provides targeted support for the normal functioning of the nervous system.
Vitamin B₉ (folic acid) – is involved in the synthesis of amino acids required by nerve cells. Together with vitamins B₆ and B₁₂, folic acid contributes to the normal metabolism of homocysteine – a substance on whose balance the normal functioning of the nervous system depends.
