Novarix® Hemo
What are hemorrhoids?
Hemorrhoids are swollen and enlarged blood vessels in the lower rectum and anus, similar to varicose veins in the legs. Hemorrhoids are classified into two main types based on their location: internal and external.
Internal hemorrhoids, located under the lining of the rectum, are not visible and are a less common source of discomfort. The first sign of internal hemorrhoids is often rectal bleeding. Straining during bowel movements may result in small amounts of bright red blood on the toilet paper or cause the hemorrhoid to prolapse (protrude) through the anal opening. Prolapsed hemorrhoids can trap small amounts of debris, leading to itching, irritation, and pain.
External hemorrhoids, located under the skin around the anus, are generally more painful. They are more easily seen and felt because this area has a higher density of sensory nerves. In some cases, a blood clot can form within external hemorrhoids, causing thrombosis—hemorroids become enlarged, irritated, and extremely painful.
Can we manage ourselves?
Treatment options depend on the type and severity of hemorrhoids. The good news is that uncomplicated hemorrhoids—those with mild pain, moderate swelling, and inflammation—often respond well to home remedies. Regular physical activity, along with a diet rich in fiber and fluids, can help improve symptoms. Hemorrhoid treatments, such as venotonic and topical medications, may speed up healing and reduce the risk of complications.
Novarix® Hemo is specially developed to support the health of perianal blood vessels and to supply essential substances for their normal structure and tone.
Novarix® Hemo promotes the health and comfort of perianal blood vessels, helping to ease discomfort in the anal and rectal areas.
IngredientsMicronized Purified Flavonoid Fraction (MPFF)
The micronized purified flavonoid fraction consists of 90% diosmin and 10% other flavonoids, primarily hesperidin. Both diosmin and hesperidin are worldwide well-known, natural compounds.
These flavonoids, typically found in citrus peels, are potent antioxidants that protect cells from damage caused by free radicals and environmental stress. They help maintain healthy blood vessel tone, promote proper circulation in the legs, and regulate capillary permeability. Clinical studies confirm that these ingredients strengthen venous walls and improve patients’ quality of life, often resulting in a feeling of “lightness” in the legs. The flavonoids in Novarix® Hemo have antioxidant properties and support the stability and strength of the venous wall.
Since diosmin is poorly soluble in water, it has low absorption rates. To increase its effectiveness, the flavonoids in Novarix® Hemo are purified and micronized, forming a micronized purified flavonoid fraction (MPFF). Reducing the particle size improved their absorption in the gastrointestinal tract and their bioavailability. Numerous studies have shown that micronized diosmin is more effective than its non-micronized form.
Collagen
The human body contains over 20 types of collagen, each serving different functions in various tissues. In blood vessels, type III collagen plays a crucial role. Type III collagen forms a fine network within the walls of blood vessels, helping to maintain their shape, structure, and volume. The strength of this collagen network directly impacts the strength of the vessel walls.
After the age of 30, the body’s natural production of collagen begins to decline due to the aging process. Supplementing with additional collagen helps support the maintenance and strength of blood vessel walls.
Hyaluronic acid
Hyaluronic acid is a vital molecule found in connective tissues throughout the body. Its natural production decreases with age. Supplementing with hyaluronic acid aids in the repair of tissues that contain it, and promotes comfort in the perianal area, helping to alleviate sensations such as burning and itching.
