Movagen®
What you should know about joints?
Joints are involved in all movements of the body and support its weight throughout our lives. They are built in such manner that they do not wear out or become damaged over many years, even though they are subjected to stresses that no machine can withstand without repair.
The ends of the bones in a healthy joint are covered with smooth cartilage and are sheathed like a cuff by the joint capsule, and the space between them is filled with synovial fluid. The joint is further reinforced by ligaments that envelope the joint capsule and connect the bones.
However, joints can sometimes become damaged. This is most common with advancing age but can also occur in younger individuals, especially after undergoing trauma or inflammatory processes. Joint damage includes over 100 diseases affecting joint structures – articular cartilage, joint capsule, synovial fluid, ligaments, tendons, surrounding joint tissues and underlying bone.
The most common symptoms of joint damage include pain, reduced mobility (ranging from stiffness to complete immobility), swelling of one or more affected joints, warmth in the affected joint or redness in the surrounding tissue. Symptoms may develop gradually or suddenly. The causes of their occurrence are degenerative changes associated with advancing age, overweight, inflammatory processes, trauma, stagnant lifestyle, overloading of joints, etc. .
For long-term management of joint damage symptoms, remedies are used to relieve pain, reduce stiffness and provide the building blocks necessary for repairing joint structures.
Thus, the progression of damage stops, the life of the joints is extended, and the person can move as before and return to his or her life routine.
Movagen® is a product containing 3 clinically proven complexes* that support joint health and normal mobility. It provides key substances for the physiological restoration of the properties, structure and stability of joint structures – articular cartilage, ligaments, tendons, surrounding joint tissues and underlying tissue.
IngredientsPain Relief Complex®
A complex containing Cissus quadrangularis and Boswellia serrata, with a proven supportive effect on joint health and the sensation of comfort from normal movements.
Standardized Boswellia serrata extract contains a complex of boswellic acids that interact with a number of enzymes involved in processes key to joint health.
Boswellia (also known as Indian frankincense) is a resin extracted from the Boswellia serrata tree. It is a traditional part of Ayurveda, with documented use by traditional Chinese herbalists, and its use has spread throughout the Middle East and other tropical regions.
The standardized extract of Cissus quadrangularis contains high concentrations of ketosterones, which have a direct effect on the feeling of health and comfort in the joints.
Cissus quadrangularis is a plant that is rich in vitamin C and antioxidants. Its traditional use comes from Ayurveda, but it is also used in many Asian countries. It includes bioactive constituents that have been shown in studies to affect key enzymes involved in maintaining healthy tissues. Through these mechanisms, the Cissus extract can help maintain optimal joint comfort in the process of normal wearing out in everyday life.
Anti Stiff Complex®
Contains substances of key importance for the physiological restoration of normal joint mobility. It consists of a non-absorbable fraction of avocado and soybean oils (ASU) and undenatured collagen type II.
Undenatured type II collagen has been the subject of numerous studies showing its effect on the physiological maintenance of normal joint mobility. It is no coincidence that the type II collagen used in Movagen® is undenatured because this is its natural form in the human body and only in this form does it retain its biological activity and can perform its physiological functions.
Joint Restore Complex®
A complex containing glucosamine sulphate, hyaluronic acid, vitamin C, boron and manganese, which are important building blocks for joint structures. There are numerous clinical studies that demonstrate their positive effect on the physiological restoration of the structure, elasticity and properties of joints, synovial fluid, articular cartilage, ligaments, tendons and surrounding tissues.
Glucosamine sulfate is an essential structural component of articular cartilage, ligaments and tendons, and is necessary for their proper structure and function. It provides the body with two key subunits for cartilage: glucosamine and sulfate groups.
Glucosamine is found in the fluid around joints and is an important component of the molecules that make up cartilage, synovial fluid, intervertebral discs, etc. Sulphate groups are other essential elements necessary for the construction of cartilage tissue. They increase the osmotic pressure in cartilage and contribute to its turgor, tensile strength, compressive strength and volume.
Hyaluronic acid is a molecule with important biological functions. It is found in connective tissue and is highly concentrated in synovial fluid. Hyaluronic acid gives the synovial fluid its specific properties, thanks to which it acts as a ubricant and buffer. It also covers the inner surface of the joint and thus acts as an elastic protective layer with respect to the articular cartilage and capsule, protecting them from mechanical damage. At the same time, it constitutes the structural unit of the articular cartilage.
Boron is a trace element involved in the metabolism of calcium and magnesium in the body, and is key to maintaining physiological bone growth and density.
Vitamin C contributes to the formation of collagen for normal bone and cartilage function. It also contributes to the protection of cells from oxidative stress.
Manganese contributes to the normal formation of connective tissue.
