What you should know about cystitis?
Cystitis is a common inflammation of the bladder, more frequently occurring in women than men. Around 3 in 5 women experience cystitis at least once in their lifetime.
The most frequent cause of cystitis is the bacterium E. coli. Risk factors include urine retention, catheter use, pregnancy, genital inflammation, spermicides, sexual activity, hormonal changes (e.g., menopause), kidney stones, and prostate issues in men. Conditions preventing the bladder from fully emptying can also lead to cystitis.
Symptoms include discomfort during urination, frequent and painful urges, changes in urine color or smell, and sometimes blood in the urine. Delayed treatment or incorrect antibiotic use can result in chronic, recurrent cystitis, which is difficult to treat.
With prompt diagnosis and appropriate treatment, cystitis can be resolved, and recurrence can be avoided.

The patented BetaVac® γ blend combines birch leaf and American cranberry extracts. Cranberry extract contains biologically active proanthocyanidins that are excreted in the urine, where they enhance the action of D-mannose. Proanthocyanidins and D-mannose mutually potentiate their activity and the effect of their combined administration is significantly better than when used alone.

Birch leaf extract
